MAYOR
Obetz is led by Mayor E. Rod Davisson. Mayor Davisson is chiefly responsible for ensuring that the laws and ordinances of the Village are enforced. He is the president of the legislative authority and presides over all regular and special meetings. The Mayor does not vote except in the case of a tie.
The Mayor is also responsible for the general supervision of the employees and departments within the Village. The position of Mayor is a part-time position and therefore Mayor Davisson has appointed Douglas K. Browell as the Village Administrator and Ken Hinkle as the Chief of Police. These individuals are responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Village staff and police officers, respectively.

COUNCIL
Obetz is led by a six-member Council, elected at-large and serving staggered four-year terms under the rules of the Ohio Revised Code. Council meets the second and fourth Mondays of each month at 6:00 P.M. to review and pass legislation and hear concerns from the general public. If the meeting date occurs on a holiday, the regular meeting is held on the next Tuesday following the holiday. All Council meetings are held at the Government Center located at 4175 Alum Creek Drive and are open to the public.
CURRENT COUNCIL MEMBERS
Council is divied into five committees - Recreation and Health, Finance, Legislation, Public Utilities, and Safety and Streets. The Committees explore, discuss, and provide input to Council on issues related to the Committee's focus.
